If you have read any of my other guides, you know that I talk to you in the guides, like you and I were just having a normal conversation over a Starbuck’s coffee!

So here goes..

Live internet video broadcasting used to be a major challenge. I have been into web development for over 10 years, and when I first started… it went something like this… 1. I had to buy a Video Capture card.2. Insert that into my PC3. Hook up some A/V cables from my old fashioned Sony Camcorder4. Install some special software on my computer that would convert to the code of the internet (encoding) 5. Pay an internet company out there, called a Streaming Server company, to receive my encode and stream it seamlessly to any viewers that I may have6. Worry about not going over a few “concurrent viewers” or those people who were watching my show all at one time7. Then I had to worry about promoting it to enough people to watch it. 8. Then, I really had no way to store all of this, since the stream was not being recorded and archived anywhere. 9. PS… all of this cost me some major cash…. All of which was very hard to keep up, without a sponsor or ME sponsoring my own initiatives. I screamed uncle! I gave up for years. You know, as with anything, if it is WORTH it to you, then you will find a reason to do it. Was it worth it to me? Not at the time. Don’t forget, I was still doing lots of web development, and of course, updating cool sites like www.blackatlanta.com …. So I was and still am VERY crunched for time.
