TweetAdder: Are API’s Fair To Add Friends and Followers?

I was recently introduced to TweetAdder… a “professional Twitter Marketing system”.  I have to admit how skeptical I was on its use… But even if it works, is it fair to have software add possible Twitter matches to my list of friends?

The software is aimed at performing the following functions:

  • Increase Twitter and Site Traffic to your event, charity, service, business, band, or websites
  • Find Like Minded Twitter Followers in Seconds
  • Auto Follow Targeted Twitter Profiles
  • Rapidly Increase Niche Twitter followers
  • Multiple Accounts, Unlimited Twitter Profiles
  • Automate Twitter Posts, Scheduled Tweets, Stay active in participation
  • Automate Direct Messages
  • Auto Unfollow, VIP Safe List
  • Delete Direct Messages
  • Best Twitter Friend Search Capabilities
  • Every Twitter Feature imaginable!
  • Spend time on other tasks while the program works for you
  • I have to admit, it does a great job at what it says it will do.

Here is how I tried it:

    1. I used it on one of my Twitter accounts to find like-minded individuals by friendship.
    2. I bulk “followed” 100 of this colleagues’ followers
    3. I received about 30 new followers.

Is all fair in Love and War?  If I represent a concept, an event, charity, etc. is it more important for me to get followers honestly?

My opinion is that the tool is GREAT!  If I am marketing something and if Twitter will allow this tool long term, I will strategically segment a group of followers by my marketing opportunities.

What do you think?  Are the API’s fair with this kind of usage?  Your comments are below and are welcomed.
